It is learnt from Shanghai Airport Frontier Inspection Station on Jan. 14 that, the number of international cargo flights in Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) has broken through 36,000, which is almost same as 2010, the year of Shanghai World Expo.
Since 2008, PVG's world ranking in terms of cargo volume has surpassed Incheon International Airport (ICN), Korea, Tokyo Narita International Airport (NRT), Japan and Anchorage International Airport (ANC), U.S., and has been ranked as the third largest in the world for four years in the row, with the fastest growth rate in Asia-Pacific region.
Nowadays, the international cargo routes and pure international cargo routes in PVG have reached 112 and 38 respectively, and 58% of China's international and regional cargo flights go aboard from PVG.
